While in deep prayer this morning, The Lord led me to this specific scripture:

Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV).

Then as clear as day, I understood every single Christians true assignment.

The Great Commission is the final instruction that Jesus Christ gave to His disciples before ascending to heaven, outlining the primary mission of the Christian church. It is the foundational text for Christian evangelism and missionary work worldwide.

Before you say “oh but that was to His “disciples”. Do you know what that word means?

A disciple of Christ is someone who has committed their entire life to following Jesus, learning from Him, and imitating His character.

Jesus Himself set the parameters for what defines His disciples in the Gospels:

  • Obedience to His Word:If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.” (John 8:31)
  • Radical Love: By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)
  • Bearing Spiritual Fruit:This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” (John 15:8)
  • Total Surrender: Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)

Are All “Believers” Considered “Disciples”?

The short answer is: biblically, yes; but in modern practice, we often see a difference – and therein is the problem.

Why it matters more than ever in 2026.

We are living in truly “The Last Days” before the coming of our Lord!

Wars, rumors of wars, talks of “nukes,” and global unrest… the signs are everywhere that these truly ARE “the Last Days”!

Look at the headlines. We are witnessing biblical prophecy unfolding before our very eyes. From the threat of nuclear escalation to unprecedented global instability, the earth is groaning. The stage is being set, and the end is near. Jesus is preparing to return, just as He promised.

For the believer, this is a time of glorious anticipation. But what about the unsaved?

When the final trumpet sounds, the time for choosing will be over. The reality of eternity is approaching rapidly, and the divide between salvation and separation from God will be final.

Who are you leaving behind?

Maybe it’s a loved one—your husband or wife who has backslidden, their heart grown cold to the Gospel. Perhaps it’s your adult children who have wandered away from the faith they were raised in, or friends who are entirely blind to the spiritual reality of the times we are living in.

The thought of standing before the Lord while those we love face the reality of hell is a heavy, agonizing burden. But do not give in to despair. While there is still breath in their lungs, the door of grace remains open.

There is still time for Jesus, our Lord & Savior, to save them—and yourself!

This is not the time to feel “OK” just because YOU are sure you will reach heaven. This is a call to action. We must stand in the gap for our unsaved loved ones—and even people we don’t even know!

YOU, beloved brother, beloved sister, and all believers ARE the “body of Christ”. That means we are the hands, ears, and mouths God uses to save others!

You were saved because YOU heard the Gospel preached to you. God used someone’s body (heart, mind, hands) to help you know Him. Don’t “wash your hands” of the souls of others (not involving yourself with their salvation – or damnation), like Pontius Pilate washed his hands of the death of Jesus.

  • Pray with Urgency: We must intercede for them daily, crying out for the Holy Spirit to soften their hearts and remove the blinders from their eyes.
  • Live as a Witness: Let your life reflect the peace and truth of Christ. In a world gripped by fear, your steadfast faith is the greatest testimony.
  • Speak the Truth in Love: Do not shy away from the hard conversations. Time is too short to worry about awkwardness. Share the Gospel boldly.
  • Support the Minstries Sharing God’s Love & Promises! “God Still Can Ministries” is out in the fields around the world sharing the true Gospel of Jesus Christ Our Lord & Saviour from the drug and prostitution filled streets throughout America and throughout all the continents of the world!

We understand how hard it is to pray for, share the Good News, and help the lost get saved – while still managing a home, finances and your own personal problems.

Who in 2026 has time to preach the Gospel, or pray without ceasing for our loved ones? We do! And hopefully, your local church (if they are truly preaching the Gospel and not trying to buy “Rolls Royce’s” or private jets on your dime!).

Co-Workers in the Truth (3 John 1:7-8)

The Apostle John writes about believers who travel to preach the Gospel and how local Christians should support them financially and practically.

“It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans.

We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.” (3 John 1:7-8, NIV)

The Meaning: When you support a missionary or evangelist, you are not just a donor; you become a “fellow worker” or “co-worker” in the truth. God views the preacher and the supporter as a single team.

Credited to Your Account (Philippians 4:17)

The Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Philippi to thank them for their financial support of his missionary journeys. He makes it clear that the ultimate benefit of their giving is spiritual.

Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.” (Philippians 4:17, NIV)

The Meaning: Every time a soul is saved or a life is changed through a ministry you support, God records it. It is credited to your spiritual “account” in heaven.

The Lord is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). But that window of patience will not stay open forever.

Choose—before it’s too late.

If you have grown lukewarm in your own walk, repent today. If your family is unsaved, fall to your knees for them right now. Tomorrow is not promised, and the signs of His coming are too loud to ignore.

Will your family be ready?

Please submit your prayer requests for them – and yourself here. Let us pray for you and with you!
